"Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day!"- Alan Jackson
"Monday night football saved my life because I woke up late this morning, I was 15 minutes away or i would have been in that building."
"It was my sons first day of Kindergarten if my wife didn't beg me to go, I would have been up on one of those floors."
"I made it out, but so many of my friends are up there still"
102 Minutes that Changed America a documentary put on by the History channel had some of these quotes from real people.
This day nine years ago I was getting ready for school. I woke to the panic of my father saying "oh my God, I cant believe my eyes." As I watched the news speechless I too couldn't believe my eyes. I can truly say this day changed me even though I was a far 2,000 miles away. Seeing the reality of a plane collide into a large building opened my eyes to a different side of the world. The world doesn't always play out as a fairy tale, its sad but bad things do happen, and sometimes they are REALLY REALLY BAD.
Being only 12 I thought bad things were only in our nightmares and in movies. Still to this day I am speechless every year on this day I am reminded of how evil and sick people are to have thought up such a horrific series of events. The number of families effected by this tragedy are endless. So many heroic people fought and lost their lives in effort to protect our country and save lives.
So today, remember not what you were doing on this day, though many of us will never forget, remember all those effected by this tragedy. Remember why we are fighting this war and especially remember all those men and women who lost their lives in the war. Say a prayer and be thankful we as Americans came together united as one. We as a country didn't crumble several hundred individuals fought till the very end and another several hundred are still fighting today.
September 11, 2001 changed America forever. There was no longer white people or black people, we all united together and became one color- gray. Remember those who fought and the innocent who lost there lives that day RIP <3
God Bless America.

Pasadena Fun
Today after work David and I went out to Pasadena and met up with my best friend Amanda Wolfson. She just recently moved out there and I must say she is one lucky girl. She lives in the heart of downtown Pasadena...right on the strip where all the fun bars are and super cute shops are. I absolutely fell in love with her home such a fun laid back area. I could totally see myself living here... look out Amanda you may be getting a roommate. hehe
We spent the night hanging out at Jake's / Billards playing pool, dancing and chatting it up with our new friend / Bartender "Stu." What a great guy he was, in buying our first round of drinks. :)
Have you ever heard about the seven degrees of seperation theory?I think its so funny in high school I learned the theory and I really believe its true. In short it basically states that every seventh person you come in contact with, more than likely knows at least one person that you know. It never does suprise me, I met someone who oddly enough knows two of my co-workers. Through conversation I had mentioned where I work and she started naming off people she knew and so on. I can go just about anywhere and meet someone who knows someone that I know. Some of you may not believe it but I am totally convinced.
I can't wait for some more Pasadena fun!! If you havent been out there yet.. its definitely worth checking out. Walking down the streets made me feel like I was in mini New York... okay that might be a bit of a stretch, but I had tons of fun. I also enjoyed meeting some new friends. :)
I <3 Pasadena. xoxox

My First Blog!
I love to talk! Many of my family members have said "Nina, you talk sometimes just to hear the sound of your own voice." Hate to say it, but this is just not true!! If truth be told I really don't even like the sound of my voice My mind is always running; I always have a thought, question, or an idea racing through my mind and more often than not... I enjoy sharing it. One of my thoughts one day was to create a blog and write everyday or at least try. I spend so much time on the computer as it is that I thought blogging would be a little bit more productive and fun. So here it goes. I've completed my first blog, which isnt very amusing but stay tuned I will get more creative. xoxo
